Q: [How do I volunteer?]
A: [A volunteer has to do three things to become work with ReadFresno. First, attend a Workshop; Second, be finger-printed and cleared; and Third, submit an application to ReadFresno.]

Q: [Can you use my used books?]
A: [Yes! If your books are gently used we can use them. Generally, we cannot use books that have a lot of markings or that are very worn.]

Q: [How can I help ReadFresno?]
A: [The three ways to help ReadFresno are: Donate one hour per week to become a volunteer reader; Donate one dollar or more; third donate one book]

Q: [How can I donate money to ReadFresno?]
A: [Make checks payable to ReadFresno. All gifts are tax deductable since we are a non-profit. Mail checks to: 1727 L Street, Fresno, CA 93721]

Q: [How can I donate books?]
A: [You can drop off books at our office or you can request for our book coordinator to pick up the books.]

Q: [How can ReadFresno help my child?]
A: [A parent can request for their child be placed in ReadFresno. Contact your school or the ReadFresno office. We will assign a volunteer to read with your child during the after school program. They will give your child 1/2 hour.]

Q: [How can ReadFresno help me as a parent?]
A: [We offer Parent Literacy Workshops throughout the school year. Contact- our office for the next location. In addition, parents are welcome to attend the Workshop that we use to train our volunteers. Our services are free of charge.]

Q: [Who qualifies to participate in ReadFresno?]
A: [Volunteer readers come to us from all ages and backgrounds. Many are retired professionals or college students. The minimum requirement is that they be 12 years old and have an adult who can walk them to and from school. High School students are welcome if they can provide their own transportation.]
